My Story
BIO
I spent 14 years leading over 1000 members in Aviation/Ground Fuel Distribution units in the US. Army. I graduated from Texas A&M University-San Antonio majoring in Communication/ Business Admin. With a concentration in Digital Marketing and looking forward to graduating in the spring of 2022.
I have done interviews to gather intel for journalism stories and edited stories to be published. In photojournalism, I covered a few stories and took some beautiful photographs of San Antonio. My best work was covering the Paranormal Cirque at Ingram Mall in May 2021. The low and ever-changing multicolor lighting made it difficult, but I triumphed over my apprentice skills and captured some fascinating aerial and breathtaking photographs. I worked with a captivating marketing team that created an awesome new television series named “Put A Ring On It,” based on the Bachelor series. This new series will engage audiences via social media to dictate how the show flows, along with two hosts, one bachelor, and one bachelorette, to give contestants a variety of and the LGBTQIA+ community a fighting chance at love. The contestants will display body types related to the audience. We used our marketing principles to present our project. In Video Storytelling, I also put together four news-worthy projects.
While serving in the Army, I created over 5,000 training presentations for individuals/groups to bring personnel performance up from 60% to 100% proficiency. I managed a team of 20 building refuel packages for the Operation Unified Response Haiti earthquake.
I've gained new skill sets and experience at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, but after 14 years in the Army, I'm ready to take on new challenges. I decided to switch to public affairs because I really think it's a more dynamic environment, where I can advance in a new career and gain some more tools from the best in the industry for my toolbox!
